medieval structurePosted by Roman (Thunder Bay, Canada) on 20 December 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio. Medieval structure in one of the small towns of western Poland. ... to me, it is so amazing that time can stand still for structures like this... they are just there, looking down on people rushing by, decades changing... and they still remember builders in Middle Ages that gave them their existance....

Nicholas from Shah Alam, MalaysiaWonder what they used in the olden days to have buildings stand the test of time. These days, it just crumbles .. 20 Dec 2008 6:03am @Nicholas: yeah, you're right. maybe just old fashion quality and craftsmanship ? maxine from New ZealandIf these walls could talk it would walk us through many pages of history! 20 Dec 2008 6:25am @maxine: thank you Maxine, you're so right Bookfool from Mississippi, United StatesYs, that is amazing. Nicholas has a great point, too -- they don't make 'em like they used to. They're certainly a reminder of how fleeting human life is. 20 Dec 2008 6:33am @Bookfool: Thanks Nancy @zahai: Thank you Zahai a lot Laura from Birmingham, United Kingdomgreat light on the bricks. really nice shot. 20 Dec 2008 6:07pm @Laura: thanks a lot Laura @rem_la: Thank you so much, appreciate it you stopping by Grahame from Mt Maunganui, New ZealandYour comment sums it up well, 21 Dec 2008 1:51am @Grahame: Thank you Grahame DarkElf from Perth, Australiasuperb structure!i like your treatment here - slightly desaturated colours to give an "older" feel to the photo and the texture and details are excellent! 21 Dec 2008 5:29am @DarkElf: thank you my friend, I'm so glad you liked it Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaThank God it does, 'cause it's magnificent! oh Roman...your name fits well in historically speaking lol 21 Dec 2008 2:43pm @Lorraine: Thank you so much my dear Lorraine |
