medieval structure

Medieval structure in one of the small towns of western Poland.

... to me, it is so amazing that time can stand still for structures like this...

they are just there, looking down on people rushing by, decades changing... and they still remember builders in Middle Ages that gave them their existance....

Nicholas from Shah Alam, Malaysia

Wonder what they used in the olden days to have buildings stand the test of time. These days, it just crumbles ..

@Nicholas: yeah, you're right. maybe just old fashion quality and craftsmanship ?

maxine from New Zealand

If these walls could talk it would walk us through many pages of history!

@maxine: thank you Maxine, you're so right

Ys, that is amazing. Nicholas has a great point, too -- they don't make 'em like they used to. They're certainly a reminder of how fleeting human life is.

Your comment sums it up well,
also no pc scaffolding and modern "flash" ladders etc.
Theres allot of interesting things to learn from the past.

@Grahame: Thank you Grahame

DarkElf from Perth, Australia

superb structure!i like your treatment here - slightly desaturated colours to give an "older" feel to the photo and the texture and details are excellent!
